I think that in the early '60s a lot of the artists were Bubblegum before it was called Bubblegum. I think anything that was lighthearted, that wasn't of a social or very sexual nature in music, it was always kind of bubblegummy. And our songs were covered - like 'Indian Giver' was covered by the Ramones - which showed there was some kind of effect on the next generation.
